okay so I used to hate putting effort into what I would wear, sweats and a sweatshirt were my best friend. Then one day I had to dress up in professional attire for a mock interview, and I loved how confident it made me. From that point on I decided to put a little work into my appearance and the look that I am trying to create. I quickly learned that putting together a nice outfit doesn’t need to be uncomfortable, they make pants that are comfier than leggings but are so so cute. It also isn’t hard, it’s just 2 or 3 things put together with a little bit of thought backing them up.
When I first started to change up my look I was at such a loss, clothes are so expensive and most of the time at the mall I end up spending 100 bucks for maybe 4 tops. I started going thrift shopping, ARC, Goodwill, local ones around town. I go into every 2nd hand store I find because there are always gems in there. At a used store 100 bucks can get you around 40 items… that’s how I grew my wardrobe so fast. I can also find so many unique items, plus the clothes are already worn in so they’re much softer.
Only buy things that you like. The reason you put together these outfits are for YOU. Only buy things that you think are flattering and make you feel like a bad ass bitch. I believe that once you feel put together on the outside, the inside starts putting itself together too.
